New Found Gold Announces Closing of Over-Allotment Option

Vancouver, Canada (August 14, 2020) – New Found Gold Corp. (“NFG” or the “Company”) (TSXV: NFG) is pleased to announce that, further to its successfully completed initial public offering (the “Offering”) of an aggregate of 21,000,000 common shares of NFG at a price of CDN$1.30 per common share, the Agents (defined below) have sold an additional 3,150,000 common shares pursuant to their exercise in full of the over-allotment option (the “Over-Allotment Option”) granted by NFG, generating additional gross proceeds to NFG of CDN$4,095,000.
The common shares of NFG are listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol “NFG”. With the closing of the Over-Allotment Option, there are 141,950,231 common shares of NFG issued and outstanding.
Canaccord Genuity Corp. and BMO Capital Markets acted as co-lead agents for the Offering with respect to a syndicate that included Desjardins Securities Inc. (the “Agents”).
